Story
Let's STOMP out pancreatic cancer - I am doing it with Katrina's memory in my heart and my feet!
In 2017 in excess of 3,100 Australians are estimated to be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Only 8% of Pancreatic Cancer patients survive more than five years and the median survival rate is between three and six months.
The Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is the only Foundation in Australia dedicated exclusively to Pancreatic Cancer. It is named after Avner Nahmani who was diagnosed with incurable, inoperable Pancreatic Cancer in September 2007 and died thirteen months later. My sister, Katrina, had a similar experienc with pancreatic cancer, dying in 2015. Please support the Foundation in raising money for this chronically underfunded disease and to offer future patients hopes of a better outcome. "To break through 40 years of no progress by doubling the number of people who survive Pancreatic Cancer by 2020"
